Assessment

Peaceful Coniston - Location of assessment

Assessment

After a couple of pre assessment jitters I entered the assessment in a well prepare and (rightly?) confident manor.

I had a great day riding even though we were being assessed at all times.

I lead a nice section of trail between Coniston and Grizedale, no dramas.

It is not my right to comment on who should pass an assessment, but if people are carrying insufficient equipment, lead badly and get lost...should they be mtb leaders?

Apparently so.

Sunday was spent Guiding a future guide....

  1. I knew you were ready when I saw you pop that rear wheel lift.
Good work mate, you put a lot of time into this and cruised it.
    Impressed.

  2. Well done with the pass. All that time and effort and meticulous preparation has paid off.
You raise an interesting comment about who should and shouldn't pass. Perhaps a more appropriate outcome would have been for a deferral (like ML) for various aspects.
What moderation is available for the Assessors or are they working in isolation once granted that level?
